Use it carefully
Rotation changes how pages display but doesn't re-flow their content, so a page rotated to fit a printer may read awkwardly on screen. Use the page picker to rotate only the pages that need it, and keep your original in case you rotate the wrong way.
Understanding your results
The output is your PDF with the selected pages turned to the angle you chose. The rotation is baked into the file, so it looks correct in any viewer, not just this one.

Fixing page orientation
Rotation changes which way a page is displayed without altering its content. Pages that were scanned sideways or upside down can be turned to read correctly. You can rotate by 90 degrees (a quarter turn), 180 degrees (upside down), or 270 degrees (a quarter turn the other way).
Rotation is not resizing
Rotating a page is different from changing its dimensions. A portrait page rotated 90 degrees is displayed in landscape orientation, but the page itself keeps the same size — it's the viewing angle that changes, not the width and height of the paper. Nothing on the page is stretched or cropped.
A common use
Scanners often capture a stack of pages in one orientation even when some originals were landscape. Rotating just those pages afterward makes the whole document read smoothly, without rescanning anything.
Rotation is usually expressed in quarter turns
PDF page rotation commonly uses multiples of 90 degrees. A 90-degree turn changes portrait-like viewing to landscape-like viewing without necessarily changing the underlying page dimensions.
Orientation and content rotation are related but different
A page has a media size and can also carry a rotation value. This is why correcting a sideways scan does not always mean rebuilding the page itself.
