Make the link easy for the next person to use
WhatsApp click-to-chat links work best when the number and the pre-filled message are both deliberately chosen.
Use the recipient's international phone number format and verify the number before publishing the link. A link can look perfectly formed and still lead to the wrong destination if the number is incorrect.
Keep the pre-filled message natural. The person should be able to read it and understand what will happen after WhatsApp opens. Do not treat the pre-filled message as a place to hide tracking information or a long block of campaign text.
Remember that the link does not automatically send the message. It opens a WhatsApp conversation with an optional message already filled in, and the recipient still decides whether to send it.
