How it works
- ATS software often fails to parse tables, multi-column layouts, and embedded graphics — this format deliberately avoids all three.
- Use standard section headers (Summary, Skills, Experience, Education) since ATS parsers look for these specifically.
- ATS keyword check: paste the job description and the tool extracts its most significant terms, then shows which ones appear in your resume and which are missing. Matching real keywords from the posting is one of the highest-leverage things you can do to get past automated screening.
- Don't keyword-stuff — add missing terms only where they're genuinely true of your experience. ATS systems and human reviewers both catch obvious padding.
- Each experience entry takes one bullet per line. Lead bullets with action verbs and include numbers wherever you can.
